March of Dimes Jail & Bail brings together Erie's most wanted community & business leaders for a common cause – to give every baby a healthy start. Their “sentence”? To serve time raising “bail” in the form of donations to the March of Dimes. For an hour, each jailbird will go "behind bars" at the new Hilton Garden Inn and call friends and family for pledges. If someone pleads "guilty" but can't commit to spending time in the "slammer", he/she can become a "house arrest" and fundraise on his/her own. With the online fundraising tool at www.marchofdimes.com/jail, collecting money is fast, easy, and secure! Funds raised will help moms have full-term prenancies and healthy babies.
