• During 2008-2010 (average), the low birthweight rate in Tucson was highest for black infants (11.4%), followed by Asians (9.0%), Native Americans (7.5%), Hispanics (7.2%) and whites (6.4%). 
• Black infants (11.4%) were about 2 times as likely as white infants (6.4%) to be born low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average)
