• During 2008-2010 (average), the very low birthweight rate in Denver was highest for black infants (2.4%), followed by Asians (2.1%), whites (1.3%) and Hispanics (1.3%). 
• Black infants (2.4%) were about 2 times as likely as Hispanic infants (1.3%) to be born very low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average).
