• During 2008-2010 (average), the low birthweight rate in Chicago was highest for black infants (14.4%), followed by Native Americans (10.2%), Asians (8.9%) and whites (7.1%). 
• Black infants (14.4%) were about 2 times as likely as white infants (7.1%) to be born low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average)
