• During 2008-2010 (average), the very low birthweight rate in Boston was highest for black infants (2.8%), followed by Hispanics (1.6%), whites (1.0%) and Asians (1.0%). 
• Black infants (2.8%) were about 3 times as likely as Asian infants (1.0%) to be born very low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average).
