• During 2008-2010 (average), the low birthweight rate in Charlotte was highest for black infants (14.7%), followed by Native Americans (13.2%), Asians (10.0%), whites (6.8%) and Hispanics (6.5%). 
• Black infants (14.7%) were about 2 times as likely as Hispanic infants (6.5%) to be born low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average)
