• During 2008-2010 (average), the very low birthweight rate in Oregon was highest for black infants (1.9%), followed by Asians (1.2%), Native Americans (1.2%), Hispanics (1.1%) and whites (1.0%). 
• Black infants (1.9%) were about 2 times as likely as white infants (1.0%) to be born very low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average).
