• During 2008-2010 (average), the very low birthweight rate in Dallas city was highest for black infants (3.0%), followed by whites (1.3%), Hispanics (1.2%) and Asians (1.2%). 
• Black infants (3.0%) were about 2 times as likely as Asian infants (1.2%) to be born very low birthweight during 2008-2010 (average).
