• In the United States in 2010, the rate of early prenatal care for the 15 states using unrevised birth certificates (19% of all births) was 84.2% and for the 33 states and the District of Columbia using revised certificates (76% of all births) was 73.1%. 

Healthy people 2020

  • Early prenatal care: increase to at least 77.9% of live births.
