Before you're pregnant

Preparing for a healthy baby starts even before you're pregnant. Find out what you need to know to get ready for pregnancy, like taking a multivitamin with folic acid. Already trying to get pregnant? Knowing when you ovulate can improve your chances of getting pregnant.

Giving birth

Your baby's birthday will be here soon. There are many things you can do to prepare, like learning the signs of labor, so you know when it's time to head to the hospital. Chances are you will have a vaginal birth, but some women have their baby by c-section. No matter how your baby is born, if your pregnancy is healthy, find out why at least 39 weeks is best for your baby.

Health problems

Complications during pregnancy can be scary and confusing. Some can lead to serious problems like preterm labor. But many women who have high-risk pregnancies go on to have healthy, full-term babies.

During your pregnancy

Your baby is growing, your body is changing and so is your life. Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for the two of you. Exercising and eating healthy are important. Your prenatal care appointments are, too. Stay away from alcohol and street drugs and take steps to protect yourself.

After giving birth

Congrats, Mom! As your body heals, you adjust to life with your new baby. Don't be surprised if both take a little longer than you expected. Some new moms bond instantly with their baby; others make that connection over time.

Ovulation calendar

Knowing when you're ovulating can boost your chances of getting pregnant. Start your personal ovulation calendar.
