Blog: KYLE'S STORY

On October 27th 2004, our son Kyle was born at 33 weeks gestation.  He weighed 4 pounds and was immediately taken to the NICU.  Our sweet boy was born with very immature lungs and was on a HIFI ventilator for weeks.  Kyle suffered from severe reflux and countless lung infections.  After 8 surgeries and 4 blood transfusions Kyle came home after 9 long months.  It’s been 3 years since we brought Kyle home.  We have been readmitted 5 times and he has had to endure 4 more surgeries. It has not always been easy but Kyle’s spirit and love makes everything ok.   Kyle is still on oxygen and a feeding tube, but he’s a happy, beautiful and sweet little boy!  He loves his Thomas the tank engine toys and movies and loves to play outside with his sister and brother.  We are so lucky to have him.
