WRITE A LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper to tell your community about premature birth. This serious problem deserves everyone’s attention. Use the sample letter provided here.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer any day, any time to help the March of Dimes fight prematurity! You can make a real difference, even if you can only volunteer once in a while and have only a little time to give. Take a trip to Volunteerland to find lots of do-it- yourself activities online. And if you want to volunteer locally, contact your local March of Dimes chapter.

Send Health Messages to a Woman You Know:

Tell women who are pregnant or who might become pregnant what they can do to have a healthy, full-term baby. Use the simple e-mails provided on this Web site.

Help your house of worship and religious leaders spread a message of hope to families of premature babies and raise your congregation’s awareness of the seriousness of premature birth.
