about prematurity

For Your Patients

Every pregnant woman should be considered at risk of preterm birth. Around the 20th week of pregnancy, women should learn the signs and symptoms of preterm labor and what to do if they occur.

Continuing Education

To help health care providers learn about preterm labor and birth, the March of Dimes provides materials and supports continuing education events.

Resource Library

This library features prematurity statistics, key journal articles about preterm birth and other relevant literature. Topics addressed include obstetric interventions, risk reduction strategies and research findings.
