Word-of-Mouth Firm to Provide Free Services to the March of Dimes
BOSTON, M.A., JULY 1, 2004 -- BzzAgent, a Boston-based word-of-mouth marketing and research firm, has agreed to offer its services free of charge to the March of Dimes, as part of their Good Bzz Partnership. The Good Bzz Partnership annually provides three non-profits or open-source projects with the capability to engage the BzzAgent evangelist community in a 12-week word-of-mouth campaign, at no charge.
The 12-week campaign will include a total of 3,000 BzzAgents selected from the company's more than 50,000 U.S. – based brand evangelists. BzzAgent will develop and provide all program participants with an official Word-of-Mouth training manual as well as individualized one-to-one feedback about their Word-of-Mouth activities. At the close of the program, the March of Dimes will receive a comprehensive report detailing the insights, learnings, and trends gathered from analysis of the data and feedback collected during the program.
“We're truly excited about launching our first Good Bzz Partnership program with the March of Dimes,” said Dave Balter, BzzAgent's Founder and President. “Their focus on promoting the health of babies and preventing prematurity by funding research and raising awareness is truly a cause that needs to be recognized.”
The March of Dimes, while developing its campaign to fight prematurity, discovered that families affected by premature birth found help and support from other parents who had the same experience. “We plan to reach mothers of premature children with this BzzCampaign, because we know they want to share information to help others,” said Marc Sirkin, director of corporate relations and e-business marketing for the organization. “BzzAgents will be able to take part in any number of activities to help spread the word about premature birth – such as signing a petition, donating money, and passing on information to others about how to have a healthy baby.” Sirkin has taken part in over ten BzzAgent campaigns in the last year. “As a BzzAgent, I've experienced the passion and power of what this company is doing. We're thrilled to partner with them to harness the power of word-of-mouth to save babies together.”
The March of Dimes BzzCampaign will launch in early September, 2004. A follow-on Good Bzz Partnership Campaign will launch in Q4 this year.
