ClubMom Donates to the March of Dimes While Spotlighting Moms Who Make a Difference Every Day

ClubMom Donates $1 to Charity of Mom's Choice Upon Free Registration for ClubMom's Dollar Drive

NEW YORK, May 2, 2005 -- This Mother's Day, ClubMom, the free national membership organization for moms, launches the “ClubMom Make a Difference” program which will donate money, on behalf of moms, to nationally recognized charities, including the March of Dimes, as well as spotlight extraordinary moms who have made a difference within their communities.  As part of this initiative, ClubMom is kicking off the “ClubMom Dollar Drive For Charity” today, which will harness the power of moms nationwide to move the needle on their favorite philanthropic causes by triggering a contribution.

“Moms have one of the most important jobs in America.  On a daily basis, they raise our nation's kids, strengthen our neighborhoods and drive our economy,” says Meredith Vieira, moderator of the popular daytime talk show “The View” and ClubMom co-founder.  “We developed the ClubMom Make A Difference program to send a clear signal to moms that we support them through donations to their favorite charities, and because moms are the last to take credit and we want to spotlight the great work they do for all of America to see.”

With Just One “Click” Moms Can Give Back
Through the ClubMom Dollar Drive For Charity, upon registration, ClubMom will donate one dollar to the charity of the mom's choice of many nationally recognized charities including the March of Dimes and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  All moms are encouraged to sign up for the ClubMom Dollar Drive For Charity from May 2, 2005 through March 31, 2006.  Just log on to http://www.clubmomdollardrive.com/?qid=132 and register for a free ClubMom membership and to see a full list of participating charities.  To make an even greater difference, ClubMom will also donate 1% of what existing members spend with participating merchants in the ClubMom Online Mall, to the charity of their choice from May 2, 2005 through March 31, 2006.

ClubMom Make a Difference National Awards
ClubMom has created a prestigious national award that recognizes the amazing work moms do every day to make a difference.  ClubMom will honor five moms who have made a difference in remarkable ways during its first annual ClubMom Make a Difference National Awards ceremony, which will take place in New York City in time for Mother's Day 2006.  Award recipients will win a free trip to the ceremony, special prizes and awards, and will get a special thank you from Meredith Vieira, co-host of The View, ClubMom co-founder, and mistress of ceremonies.

“ClubMom-which in the last year has doubled its membership to two million moms around the country and partnered with more than 100 of America's best companies, provides a national platform on which to spotlight moms who've improved the lives of others and have made a remarkable difference in their communities,” says Alexandra Aleskovsky, Chief Marketing Officer, ClubMom.  “The goal of the ClubMom Make a Difference program is to honor moms who ‘do good,' both as individuals and collectively as members of ClubMom. We also recognize that moms who make a difference set an example for their children and our nation to follow.”

“Mom Of The Week” Search Begins
Each week beginning Mother's Day and extending through early 2006, ClubMom will showcase a new "Mom of the Week" -- a mom member who has made a dramatic difference in her neighborhood, community, or other cause.  The search has already begun for such inspiring moms, and applications are being accepted now and at http://www.clubmom.com/.

Each member who is selected as Mom of the Week during 2005 will automatically be considered for the ClubMom Make a Difference National Awards and receive gifts from ClubMom and its corporate partners, some of America's best companies.
