WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., SEPT. 27, 2006 – Wendy Bellissimo, president and founder of Wendy Bellissimo Media Inc., has been elected to the national Board of Advisors of the March of Dimes, it was announced today.
March of Dimes advisors, who serve as volunteers, represent the public in governing the organization and advancing its work to save babies from birth defects, premature birth, and other leading causes of infant death and disability.
“We're very pleased that Ms. Bellissimo is joining the March of Dimes because she shares our goal to improve the health of babies,'' said Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, president of the March of Dimes.
Ms. Bellissimo's launched her line of baby and children's bedding and accessories in 1998. Her products are sold in more than 400 specialty stores nationwide and quickly became the favorites of new parents, including celebrities.
