Alert Your Congregation: Tell Your Community

The birth of a healthy baby is a blessing. Help your house of worship and religious leaders spread a message of hope for premature babies and their families.

To make your congregation aware that premature babies are in crisis, discuss the documents below “Premature Birth: An Ancient and Current Problem” and “Activities for Congregations.” Also, give them information about how many babies are born prematurely in your state; download the chart “Rates of Preterm Birth by State” (pdf, 10k).

Decide together how to alert your fellow worshippers and your community about the problem of prematurity. Your faith can offer hope and support to families who need it.
