100% of the money goes to fight prematurity.

We accept gifts of $10,000 or more. Gifts will provide life-changing information to parents and health care professionals in your state and support life-saving research around the country.

NICU Family Support Project
An opportunity to directly serve families in need

100% of the money will be used to give comfort and support to families with babies cared for in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) near you.

We accept gifts of $10,000 or more, restricted exclusively to serving families in a time of crisis.

The project provides information and comfort to families during the NICU hospitalization of their newborn, during the transition home, and in the event of a newborn death.

Note: Not available everywhere. In 2006, NICU Family Support projects will be operating in 39 sites. By the end of 2007, all March of Dimes chapters will launch a project in partnership with a local hospital. 

Prematurity Research Initiative
An opportunity to directly fund real answers

100% of the money will be spent on prematurity-related research studies at leading medical institutions around the country and around the world.

We accept gifts of $25,000 or more, restricted exclusively to this purpose.

Let some of our nation’s most gifted researchers focus their energy and skill on finding the causes of prematurity and ultimately preventing it. Experience the satisfaction of helping significantly to transform the world’s body of knowledge about prematurity.
