	Family Medicine IMPLICIT Network The Family Medicine IMPLICIT Network uses evidence-based prenatal and preconception interventions related to prematurity and low birthweight. Applying a continuous quality improvement (CQI) process, the network restructures curriculum and practice to improve both quality of care and patient outcomes. Several family medicine residency programs collaborate in the network. The group was formerly called the Family-Centered Maternity Care Group: The Low Birthweight and Premature Baby Reduction Project. It began in 2003 during the northeast regional meeting of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. For more information, click here. The March of Dimes is a cosponsor of the network.
