March of Dimes and Farmers Insurance Visit the Today Show for Be A Hero for Babies Day

NEW YORK, JUNE 3, 2008 It was “Be a Hero for Babies Day” for the March of Dimes and Farmers Insurance on national television this morning as a team of dedicated staff and volunteers greeted Al Roker, weather and feature reporter for NBC News’ Today at Rockefeller Center at sunrise.   For the third consecutive year, Farmers Insurance agents are aiming to raise more than $2 million in one day to benefit March of Dimes programs for babies through activities such as carwashes, golf outings, pancake breakfasts, and pie-throwing contests.  On behalf of Farmers agents nationwide, Freda Corporan (third from left) of parent company Zurich Financial Services Group, spoke live on-camera to Al about helping the March of Dimes improve the health of babies.  She was joined by co-workers Yola Baran, Christina Minieri, and Stephen Penwright and staff from the March of Dimes national office.  For more information, or to find out how you can help, go to marchofdimes.com/farmers.
