March of Dimes
  Student Health Conference

Student health conferences help Chain Reactions provide educational opportunities to their peers.  They also spread the mission of the March of Dimes through the local community. Moreover, these conferences provide Chain Reaction members with unique opportunities to impact their peers’ personal decisions and promote healthy lifestyle choices.

The objectives of student health conferences are:
  • To stimulate important questions and dialogue about provocative issues.
  • To help youth identify ways of dealing with threats to healthy lifestyles.
  • To relate the impact of good health practices to the mission of the March of Dimes: the prevention of birth defects and infant mortality.
  • To assist school officials in expanding efforts to reach youths with appropriate health information.

Contact your local March of Dimes chapter to find out if there is a student health conference in your area.
