Working together for stronger, healthier babies: Annual report 2010

We are grateful for the support of our volunteers, donors, supporters, sponsors and partners. Your generosity has touched the lives of moms and babies everywhere.

In 2010, we made measurable headway in our national campaign to prevent premature birth. The preterm birth rate dropped for a third year in row to 12.2 percent of all births. We have expanded our support to families with a baby in newborn intensive care to more than 100 hospitals in different communities in every state. And we reached out to thousands of moms-to-be with vital information on how to have a healthy pregnancy.

Behind the scenes, $27 million was invested in research to further study premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. We are working hard to understand why these serious problems happen and to offer treatments and preventions.

Thank you for working together for stronger, healthier babies.
