California grants
- We partner with local organizations that share our mission.
- We award grants to address the needs of moms, babies and families.
- Our funding supports programs in communities throughout the state.
What type of projects receive grant funding?
Our community grants and awards go to programs that address unmet needs for California’s moms and babies. Funding is typically awarded to programs that focus on increasing access to prenatal care, health education, outreach and prevention
What are the criteria to receive California Chapter grant funding?
Grants are awarded based on several criteria, including the group or organization's ability to accomplish its goals, whether program activities will help to improve birth outcomes for participants and whether the program will be sustainable after March of Dimes funding ends.
We also award grants based on how closely the program fits our current funding priorities and how effective the program may be in reaching out to populations at high risk for premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
