Gale Butler is December’s Volunteer of the Month

Statewide, FL, December 01, 2011 —

As Vice President of Corporate Affairs for AutoNation, Inc., Gale is responsible for community relations and charitable contributions in the national headquarters area of South Florida and Florida as well as providing guidelines and oversight to AutoNation’s 15 markets throughout the United States.

In 1998, Gale Butler was named a March of Dimes Woman of Distinction for her professional and personal accomplishments and achievements in South Florida. Since 2005, Gale has served as the annual event’s co-chair raising more than $500,000 for the March of Dimes and growing the reputation of the event whereby the 160+ member roster of past honorees reads like a who’s who in Fort Lauderdale. In 2011, Gale will once again serve as co-chair of the 16th annual event in conjunction with Jen Klaassens of The Wasie Foundation.

“Gale’s exceptional leadership in growing our Women of Distinction program into one of the region’s top women’s events is noteworthy,” touted Albert Fils, Chairman of the Broward Division Board of Directors. “When you couple that with her willingness to financially support the March of Dimes and provide assistance at a moment’s notice, the Broward Division is extremely lucky to count Gale Butler as a friend and AutoNation as a corporate partner.”

“I choose to support the March of Dimes because of its crucial work to improve the health of all babies,” explained Gale Butler. “By investing in our children from the very beginning of life, we dramatically improve the odds they will grow up to be successful in school, work and life. And that’s certainly good for our community.” (Photo Above: Gale and her co-chair 2010 Women of Distinction Co-Chair Marietta Glazer).
