Shaquille O’Neal, Basketball Legend, Makes Helping Babies a Priority by Attending March of Dimes Downtown Atlanta Walk!

Basketball Superstar Shaquille O’Neal, “Shaq,” is gearing up his efforts as the 2012 National March of Dimes Celebrity Spokesperson by attending the Downtown Atlanta March for Babies Walk, to be held on Saturday, April 28th at the Georgia World Congress Center.

As a father of six children, Shaq knows the importance of the mission of the March of Dimes. As the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting for stronger, healthier babies, he has made it a priority to support this cause and walk in order to ensure that one day, every baby is born healthy. March for Babies is the nation’s oldest walk fundraiser honoring babies born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. Registration for the Downtown Atlanta event begins at 7:30 a.m. with the four mile walk kicking off at 9:00 a.m.

Joining the sports legend will be the National March of Dimes Ambassador, Kieran Wittstruck of Seattle, Washington, and Downtown Atlanta Ambassador, Layla Rawls, daughter of Christy and Marc Rawls.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
