2013 Chapter Grant RFP Info & Materials
The Illinois Chapter engaged in a year-long strategic planning process and identified an overarching mission goal to develop and strengthen partnerships with maternal child health stakeholders in Illinois to reduce the state preterm birth rate to no more than 11% by 2015 (a reduction of 10% from 2009). To accomplish this goal, three core focus areas for Illinois Chapter mission investment including grant funding have been identified: pregnancy outcome inequities, preconception/interconception care and late preterm and early term births.
Below you will find two requests for proposals, along with other required application materials:
1. Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien® Group Prenatal Education: The Illinois Chapter is seeking applications to fund organizations and/or health centers to implement and evaluate the impact of this curriculum among pregnant women in areas of the state with high adverse pregnancy outcomes
2. Preconception/Interconception Care: Two strategies
a. Smoking reduction/cessation programming for women of reproductive age
b. Weight management and healthy lifestyle programming for overweight/obese pregnant women during and after pregnancy
