Our feature volunteer - Lesley Miller
Lesley has volunteered for the March of Dimes since January 2011, lending her time and talent to the Iowa City March for Babies Committee and helping with the Iowa City Signature Chefs Auction. She believes in the mission remarking, "I don’t see what could protect our future more than providing care to mothers and babies in need. I think one of the most important responsibilities and gifts we are given in life is to be parents, mentors, and volunteers that help care and shape our youth. That all starts with healthy babies!"
She enjoys hearing the amazing stories from families and socializing with people she may not have otherwise met. Plus, it's fun and is a easy organization to help with since there are several different ways to volunteer and people can choose their level of involvement.
Lesley is married, with a little one on the way. She has a BA in Psychology from UNI and aspires to complete her Masters one day. Currently, she works as a Loan Processor for Freedom Security Bank in Coralville. She also enjoys reading, going out to the movies and staying active in her family's church in Muscatine.
Thank you, Lesley for volunteering your time with the Iowa Chapter. Your contributions are helping us give every baby a healthy start!
