Maryland–National Capital Area programs

• We’re improving the health of babies in our chapter.
• Our programs support moms-to-be and professionals.
• We offer comfort to families with a newborn in intensive care.

The March of Dimes/Mary’s Center Mama & Baby Bus provides free prenatal care to underserved women in the Greater Washington, D.C. Area.

The 30-foot vehicle parks at various locations every week and is staffed by health care professionals and educators.

It operates with a grant from the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter in partnership with Mary’s Center for Maternal and Child Care, Inc.

In 2010, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield provided $263,314 to the March of Dimes to replace the previous bus, which was 10 years old.
