Roselaine Charlucien-Koech wins Nurse of The Year Award
West Roxbury Education Complex Nurse Wins in Community Health/Public Health Category

Roselaine works in Health Services at West Roxbury Education Complex/Boston Public Schools. She has been making a positive impact for 24 years. She currently handles daily skilled nursing care, emergency care, medications administration and also providing case management support to families with complex medical needs.
Some of the highlights of her career include her work in creating the “Healthy Connection”, a peer-mentoring program that helped give Immigrant students the bond that they needed while trying to adjust to a new environment and a new school. In 2010, she assembled a wellness team composed of an administrator, teachers, and students and worked with The Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthy Schools Program in order to improve nutrition services and physical activity for staff and students. She helped create “Westie Wellness”, which earned National Recognition.
Roselaine has made a significant impact – she uses her enthusiasm to inspire peers to reach for higher goal. She believes in working together around a common idea to bring positive impact. Her peers agree that she challenges the status quo and put her beliefs into practice by bringing forth ideas.
