With 33 years at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Margaret has held multiple positions within the nursing department, which has provided her the insight into the intricacies of each role and the challenges that present themselves.
Currently, Margaret manages discrete, specified projects to support operational goals. She is responsible for the development and implementation of patient family outcomes and multi-dimensional projects that require collaboration with interdisciplinary departments. She recently completed her 8th nurse recognition video, which focuses on the accomplishments of the nursing department at BWH. Notably, Margaret has improved the discharge satisfaction survey results by implementing LEAN process using the change acceleration model. This model has now been successfully introduced across all departments at BWH.
Teamwork and integrity are her most valued attributes that inspire her approach to all situations.
