Nine Honored with March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards

The March of Dimes Massachusetts Chapter honored nine nurses from a group of 25 statewide finalists at its second annual Nurse of the Year Awards on December 3 at the VERVE - Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick.

Nurses are an integral part of the March of Dimes mission for stronger, healthier babies. Nurse of the Year is a statewide event that recognizes exceptional nurses, creates awareness of professional excellence and promotes the future of the nursing profession, while helping to advance the mission of the March of Dimes.

The Nurse of the Year selection committee reviewed applications and chose winners in seven categories: Nursing Administration/Research, Pediatric and Family Medicine, Advanced Practice, Education, Women’s Health, Community and Public Health and Neonatal. In addition, winners were also chosen for the Heart Award and the Nurse Leader of the Year. The award recipients were selected from 25 finalists across the state, all of whom represent the March of Dimes vision for a healthier, stronger generation of babies and families.
