The Worcester March of Dimes/March for Babies Walk took place on April 29, 2012.  This was the sixth year the event included “The Bank Challenge,” with six banks participating. All banks must have at least 10 registered walkers and they must raise at least $3,000.  The winner of the Bank Challenge is determined by the bank that raises the most money over $3,000, and the winner will receive the “Traveling Trophy” to keep at their bank for the year.  If the bank chooses to be a sponsor to the event, their sponsorship dollars are included in the total.

For the third year in a row, UniBank has been the winner and the recipient of the Traveling Trophy. This year the UniBank team really “hit it out of the park” raising a total of $10,207 including sponsorship from the bank. The grand total raised by all participating banks in the Challenge was $25,000, a $10,000 increase over last year.

Congratulations to “Team UniBank” for an amazing job fundraising this year, and sincere thanks to all the banks for their continued support of this event.
