Helping moms and babies in Minnesota

The March of Dimes Minnesota Chapter funds programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. This includes providing financial support to research and education that will help moms before and during their pregnancies. It also includes working with local medical groups and organizations to improve prenatal care and newborn screening.

Grants and awards are given to projects that address the urgent needs of moms and babies. Grants are generally awarded for one or two years and range from $1,500 to $25,000. The Minnesota Chapter uses gifts wisely. We award grants based on a number of criteria, including the group or organization’s ability to accomplish its goals, as well as the potential impact a project will have in helping us prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.

Grant applications are due in November of each year.  Applications for 2013 grants are due by November 2, 2012.  Learn more about 2013 priorities and get the application from our Commmunity Grants page.
