Supporting moms all throughout their pregnancies

We give moms the information and care they need before, during and after pregnancy. If something goes wrong, we support families in the NICU. Learn more about some of our community programs below.

•       A “39 Week Toolkit” to help hospitals increase education and improve policies reducing elective inductions and C-sections before 39 weeks gestation.

•       Coming of the Blessing - The Coming of the Blessing is a March of Dimes initiative for American Indian and Alaska Native families. We provide prenatal education, training and resources that encourage women to include traditional beliefs, lessons from their ancestors and their partners in their circle of support during pregnancy. The circle of support can help women make healthy choices for themselves and their babies. The initiative was created by the March of Dimes American Indian/Alaska Native Women’s Committee. The women believe that we can give babies a fighting chance by honoring the strong culture and traditions of Native people. •       Healthy Babies Healthy Business – a customizable, no cost, online component that links employees to health information directly from their employer’s intranet, aimed to help pregnant employees increase positive pregnancy outcomes and decrease employer insurance costs. Visit http://www.marchofdimes.com/hbhb/ for a demo or to sign up.

•       NICU Family Support – offering direct support to families confronted with the challenges when their baby is admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit at Essentia Health in Fargo and elsewhere.
