Health information for your patients and their families

Patient education is key to improving the health of mothers and their babies. With more than 70 years of experience in health education, the March of Dimes provides a wide range of resources for patients and their families. These materials are produced and regularly reviewed by a professional team that includes doctors, nurses and health educators.

Our goal is to provide health care professionals with the educational information they need to improve the health of mothers and babies.

Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien®
Our bilingual (English and Spanish) prenatal curriculum is designed to educate pregnant women in a supportive group setting. Nine sessions provide information on prenatal care, nutrition, stress, things to avoid during pregnancy, labor and birth, postpartum care and newborn care. Go to marchofdimes.com/catalog to purchase the curriculum. Download our curriculum handouts in  and .

Online education and print materials
The March of Dimes website provides a wealth of information on pregnancy and baby care. We also educate and support families who have a baby in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). We offer a range of print and audiovisual materials that address preconception, pregnancy, prematurity, bereavement, baby care and genetics. Several of our products are easy-to-read: written at a 5th- to 7th-grade reading level to simplify the most complicated of health topics.
