South Dakota grants

• Our funding supports programs in communities throughout the state.

The March of Dimes South Dakota Chapter funds programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. This includes providing financial support to research and education that will help moms before and during their pregnancies. It also includes working with local medical groups and organizations to improve prenatal care and newborn screening.

Grants and awards are given to projects that address the urgent needs of moms and babies. Grants are generally awarded for one to three years and range from $1,500 to $6,000.

The March of Dimes South Dakota Chapter uses gifts wisely. We award grants based on a number of criteria, including the group or organization’s ability to accomplish its goals, as well as the potential impact a project will have in helping us prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.
