Recognizing Our Outstanding Health Care Providers
The March of Dimes is committed to improving the health of mothers and babies and recognizes the contributions that physicians in obstetrics, family practice, maternal-fetal medicine, and neonatology make to achieve this goal. The purpose of this award is to recognize and encourage excellence within the areas of perinatal clinical practice, education, research, community and program development.
Physician Award
The annual award recognizes a licensed physician in the area of perinatal practice.
One award will be given for excellence in practice.
Prerequisites:
- Current Texas License (Exception for Active Duty Military physicians working in Texas).
- Employed in Texas.
- Practice demonstrates direct involvement with mother and/or baby care.
- Not currently serving on a March of Dimes Professional Education Committee, March of Dimes Board of Directors, March of Dimes Executive Committee or March of Dimes Program Services Committee at the state or local level.
Texas Excellence in Perinatal Nursing
The March of Dimes is committed to improving the health of mothers and babies and recognizes the contributions that perinatal nurses make to achieve this goal. The purpose of this award is to recognize and encourage excellence within the areas of perinatal clinical practice, education, research, community and program development.
The annual award recognizes an RN in the area of inpatient or outpatient perinatal nursing. Two awards will be given:
- One award for excellence in obstetric nursing
- One award for excellence in neonatal nursing.
Prerequisites:
- Current Texas RN License (Exception for Active Duty Military Nurses working in Texas).
- Employed in Nursing within Texas.
- Nursing practice demonstrates direct involvement with mother and/or baby care.
- Not currently serving on a March of Dimes Professional Education Committee, March of Dimes Board of Directors, March of Dimes Executive Committee or March of Dimes Program Services Committee at the state or local level.
