Preconception Health and Care: Second National Summit

This meeting focused on strategies for implementing the national recommendations to improve women's health, preconception care, and pregnancy outcomes. Key topics included:

  • Integration of preconception care into clinical practice
  • Promising practices from local public health departments and community-based organizations
  • Research
  • Reaching underserved and hard-to-reach women of reproductive age
  • State-level approaches
  • Medicaid and other public and private finance strategies
  • Consumer outreach

The March of Dimes was one of the convening organizations for the summit.
