Our goal is to provide health care professionals with the educational information they need to improve the health of mothers and babies.
Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien®
Our bilingual (English and Spanish) prenatal curriculum is designed to educate pregnant women in a supportive group setting. Nine sessions provide information on prenatal care, nutrition, stress, things to avoid during pregnancy, labor and birth, postpartum care and newborn care. Go to marchofdimes.com/catalog to purchase the curriculum. Download our curriculum handouts in English and Spanish.
Online education and print materials
The March of Dimes website provides a wealth of information on pregnancy and baby care. We also educate and support families who have a baby in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). We offer a range of print and audiovisual materials that address preconception, pregnancy, prematurity, bereavement, baby care and genetics. Several of our products are easy-to-read: written at a 5th- to 7th-grade reading level to simplify the most complicated of health topics.
