The Rhode Island chapter of the March of Dimes is honoring the president and CEO of Tufts Health Plan.
Providence, RI, March 08, 2012 The March of Dimes is holding an event Wednesday morning at Women & Infants Hospital to name James Roosevelt Jr. as its 2012 "Citizen of the Year." Roosevelt is the grandson of March of Dimes founder President Franklin Roosevelt, and this honor is particularly fitting as the March of Dimes prepares for its 75th anniversary.
James Roosevelt supports the March of Dimes mission of working for stronger, healthier babies. A reception will be held in his honor in June.
The March of Dimes 2012 National Ambassador Family is also scheduled to attend the announcement. The Witttstruck family is from Seattle. Keiran Wittstruck was born at 31 weeks and spent the first months of his life in the newborn intensive care unit battling multiple ailments.
