Wonderful Volunteer Retires

The South Carolina Chapter thanks Marie Meglen for her wonderful and dedicated volunteer efforts. Marie is a certified nurse midwife and has devoted the last several years of her career to coordinate the March of Dimes/ Palmetto Healthy Start Prematurity Prevention Project. The project works with high-risk pregnant women and includes an education/ support group Parents of Preemies. The project experienced great success including over 47% reduction in preterm birth with over 1,300 participants. Marie’s contributions to the families she has touched will remain long after her retirement. We will miss you Marie!
