Upstate – 2010 Grant Writing Workshop
United Way of Greenville County - 2nd floor – Rockwell Room

The Chapter Community Grants Program is designed to invest in projects that further the March of Dimes mission, support the National Prematurity Campaign objectives and further the goal of reducing disparities in birth outcomes.

In 2009, the SC Chapter of March of Dimes distributed more than $500,000 in grant funding to community projects working to improve the health of South Carolina moms and babies. In 2010, grant projects addressing South Carolina 2010 Funding Priorities will be funded in the sum of $10,000 or more.

To kick off the 2010 Chapter Community Grant Process and assist organizations with developing competitive applications, the March of Dimes is hosting this workshop.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:
  -  Understand the entire grant application process, timeline and grant cycle
  -  Understand chapter and committee expectations for establishing population need and program evaluation
  -  Identify chapter community grant giving funding priority areas
  -  Identify the mission of the March of Dimes

Organizations that have the capacity, competence and experience to accomplish project goals and objectives through one of the following strategies are encouraged to apply:
  - Increasing access to and quality of health care for women and infants
  - Increasing availability of prevention services
