The March of Dimes is a leader and pioneer in the fight to save babies. We have an outstanding track record of success and we are prepared to accomplish even greater things in the future to solve the problems of prematurity, birth defects, and low birthweight.

Get Involved

Since its beginning, the March of Dimes has depended on the generosity of people like you to carry out its mission of saving babies. Volunteers are the driving force behind the foundation, giving generously of their time and talent to serve in a variety of ways.

Here are just a few ways you can get involved:

Raise money for March for Babies, Signature Chefs Auction and other special events.
Take part in community programs in South Carolina that are sponsored by the March of Dimes.

NICU Families Needed to Provide Guidance for our NICU Family Support Project

NICU Family Support Project: Seeking volunteers in the Upstate area to assist with our NICU Family Support Program at Greenville Memorial Hospital.  Volunteer opportunities include assembling and handing out support materials to NICU families, helping coordinate sibling and parent activities, increasing awareness, gathering donations, etc.  Families who have themselves had a child in the NICU are especially needed to lend their expertise in guiding our program to be most effective for the families we work to support during this difficult time.  For more information, contact Katie Tomlinson at ktomlinson@marchofdimes.com or 864-455-1687.

March of Dimes South Carolina Chapter Ambassador Program

If your family has experienced life with a baby born prematurely or a baby born with a birth defect, we invite you to consider sharing your story to help us raise awareness about the March of Dimes mission. The March of Dimes mission  impacts the lives of all babies, but especially touches those who have spent time in Neonatal Intensive Care. By sharing your family’s journey—speaking at March of Dimes events or in media interviews—you help bring our mission to life. You help us raise vital funds to support research and to help fund local programs to help moms have healthier pregnancies. Your knowledge, strength and courage will be an inspiration that motivates others to help us continue working for the day when every baby has a healthy start!
