I am proud to introduce you to the inaugural March for Babies event in your community! This is an exciting year for the March of Dimes and a wonderful opportunity for you to continue making a difference in the lives of babies and families in South Carolina!

March of Dimes is the champion for babies—those born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. The name of our walking event has changed, but our mission has not. We are more committed than ever to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Your participation in March for Babies makes you part of our vital mission, and part of our continued success.

2008 Ambassador, Abbygail Burleson - A Precious Gift

Josh and Shellie Burleson were expecting their precious little daughter to be a December baby, but instead she was born 11 weeks early on September 21, 2007.  At birth, Abbygail Elizabeth weighed only 1 lb 11 oz.  She spent two months in the NICU before she was able to come home.

Abbygail is now a growing little girl, and her parents along with her brother Murphy are happy that she has been able to overcome some of the challenges she faced due to her premature birth. Josh and Shellie are thankful for their little girl and thankful for the March of Dimes.  With the research, advocacy, and community programs the March of Dimes funds, their daughter was given a chance to survive.

The more you raise, the more you receive and the more we can do to help give babies like Abbygail have a healthy start in life!

Day-of registration begins at 8:30 A.M.    If you register online you will not need to register on the day-of.
