| (Columbia, SC, November, 2008)— At the recent national March of Dimes Volunteer Leadership Conference, held in Houston, Texas, Richard Dillard was honored with the Distinguished Volunteer of the Year Award for the Southern Region of the March of Dimes.
As Director of Public Affairs for Milliken & Company, Richard serves as the company’s team captain for March of Dimes March for Babies. Kathryn Douglas, State Director says: “Richard Dillard excels at fundraising as well as volunteer leadership. He is visionary, dedicated and passionate about the issues facing our youngest citizens. His commitment is an inspiration. November is Prematurity Awareness Month, and leaders like Richard Dillard are the reason the March of Dimes can continue working to help every baby have a healthy start in life.” For more information on Prematurity Awareness Month and the March of Dimes Petition for Preemies, visit marchofdimes.com/petition.
