The Real Estate Award was established in 1998 by the South Carolina Chapter of the March of Dimes to honor a member of the real estate community who has demonstrated a long history of service. Recipients are chosen for their outstanding leadership and vision in the community.

Not only does the Real Estate Award raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes lifesaving mission of fighting for babies, but it also gives the real estate community a unique opportunity to network with associates from throughout the area.

This premier event, typically a breakfast, is attended by members of the real estate and corporate communities, including developers, architects, bankers, title companies and others.

2012 Honoree: Scott Garvin

Scott Garvin established Garvin Design Group in 2003 having practiced architecture in South Carolina for more than 17 years. He has been involved in the design/management of more than $500,000,000 worth of projects (construction value) and launched Garvin Design Group in order to provide client-driven design solutions to customer needs. Scott is directly involved with the design and management of every project and strives to ensure that clients’ goals are accomplished.

Garvin is a 1986 graduate of Clemson University with a Masters in Architecture. Born and raised in South Carolina, Garvin has been involved with the building projects around the state including libraries, churches, university facilities, corporate offices, schools, elderly facilities and private residences.
