Spotlight on Sherri Shepherd
The exuberant actress, comedienne, author and Emmy Award winning co-host of ABC network's The View, is a March of Dimes celebrity ambassador and a March of Dimes Mom. Sherri is an active volunteer for March of Dimes California Chapter and is also a national celebrity spokesperson. Sherri very generously supports March of Dimes in honor of her young son, Jeffrey, who was born 15 weeks early. With a caring voice and her personal story to share, Sherri helps generate awareness about March of Dimes mission and fundraising efforts through March for Babies and the Prematurity Campaign.
Sherri has served as national celebrity ambassador for March for Babies since 2008, appearing in television and radio interviews, public service announcements and video messages to inspire fellow walkers and donors. She has walked with her family in Los Angeles and has made many appearances on behalf of the March of Dimes, including on-air promotions, like winning $50,000 for the March of Dimes on ABC network's Celebrity Millionaire.
