Fifth Annual “Breakfast for Babies” benefiting the March of Dimes
 Presented by WJXA Mix 92.9

Nashville, TN – On Tuesday, March 17, Middle Tennesseans will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of babies by participating in the 5th annual Breakfast for Babies presented by radio station Mix 92.9. From 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. people will be able to enjoy green eggs and ham and other breakfast items at Noshville Deli in Green Hills, Cool Springs, and Midtown. Fifty percent of any breakfast food purchase during the event will be donated to the March of Dimes.

In addition to promoting Breakfast for Babies the weeks leading up to the event, the Mix Morning Show will broadcast live on the morning of March 17 from Noshville Deli located at 1918 Broadway in Nashville. Those present at any Noshville Deli location will also be able to participate in an on-site silent auction featuring autographed memorabilia from the Nashville Predators, with all proceeds going to the March of Dimes. Special appearances by local mascots will also take place the morning of Breakfast for Babies.

“Every week in the state of Tennessee, 230 babies are born premature which equates to almost 12 kindergarten class rooms. The causes of nearly half of all preterm births are unknown,” said Todd Grantham, State Director of Communications and Marketing for the Tennessee Chapter of the March of Dimes.  “We are very grateful to Mix 92.9 and Noshville Deli for their sponsorship of Breakfast for Babies to raise funds for the effort to help families have healthier babies.”

Each week in the state of Tennessee, 230 babies are born prematurely.  In 2009, the Tennessee Chapter of the March of Dimes invested more than $3,000,000 in Tennessee for program services, including national research grants, community grants, and local public and professional education. Through these grants, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies.  For more latest resources and information, visit marchofdimes.com/tennessee, nacersano.org., or givingmatters.com
