The March of Dimes Tennessee Chapter funds programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. This includes providing financial support to research and education that will help moms before and during their pregnancies. It also includes working with local medical groups and organizations to improve prenatal care and newborn screening.

State Program Services Chairperson, Patricia Totty presents Community Grants to the Birthing Project (grant named in honor of Ellie Turner) and to Saint Thomas Health’s Centering Pregnancy Program.

Grants and awards are given to projects that address the urgent needs of moms and babies. Grants are generally awarded for one to three years and range from $10,000 to $20,000.
