The Third Annual Pickin’ for Preemies, benefiting the DFW March of Dimes, is a magical evening of Texas acoustic music including Sixteen Well-Known Country Music Artists, in the Texas and national circuits.
Pickin’ for Preemies 2008 will be held at Fort Worth night club, Billy Bob’s Texas on September 1, 2008 from 5pm-9pm. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.com beginning July 19, 2008. Sponsorships, private tables, and premium tickets/reservations are now available through the Tarrant County March of Dimes.
Tarrant County March of Dimes Ambassador Family 2008, Justin, Casey, Jaycie and Castin Frazell are the host family for the event. Justin Frazell is host of “Wake Up With the Wolf” and "Live From The Front Porch with Justin Frazell", 99.5 The Wolf. Event includes Honorary Chairs, Bobby and Lisa Feather, of Cook Children’s Hospital and Chairs, Jamie and Melanie Adams.
Committee members include Pam Minick of Billy Bob’s Texas, Alan Barron, Director of Tarrant County March of Dimes and a host of others making resources available for a successful and record breaking year of fundraising for the DFW area March of Dimes.
Pickin’ for Preemies brings together those in the healthcare industries, the DFW Medical community, families and friends who support the March of Dimes and the special bond of NICU families.
In an average week in Texas, over 1,008 babies are born too soon and too small, preterm. Approximately 1 in 7 babies (13.6 % of live births in Texas) are born premature.
